Ingredients:

1 cup Butter, divided usage
1&1/2 cups Brown Sugar, packed, divided usage
1 whole Egg Yolk, at room temperature
1&1/2 cups Flour
1/4 cup Honey
1/2 cup Heavy Cream
4 cups Pecans, chopped

Directions:

Set the Butter out to soften to room temperature.  Once it is soft, preheat an oven to 350°.

Drape some aluminum foil across the bottom, up the long sides and over the top of a 13x9" baking pan.  Grease the foil as well as the short sides of the pan with butter (but not from the quantity of butter in the ingredients).  I used non-stick foil and a non-stick pan and still greased them both.

In a large bowl, preferably of a standing mixer, cream 1/2 cup of the softened butter with the 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.  Beat in the room temperature Egg Yolk, then gradually beat in the flour until a dough ball forms.  Crumble the dough evenly in the buttered pan and press it in to form a uniformly thin crust  over the bottom.  Bake until lightly browned, about 10-15 minutes.

Meanwhile in a 2 quart or larger saucepan, melt the remaining 1/2 cup of Butter, add the remaining 1 cup of Brown Sugar and the Honey.  Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and continue to boil and stir for 3 minutes.  Remove from the heat and immediately stir in the Heavy Cream and chopped Pecans.

When the crust is lightly browned, distribute the pecan mixture evenly atop it.  Return the pan to the oven and bake until hot and bubbly, about 20-30 minutes.  Cool completely on a wire rack, at least 4 hours.

Using the foil, lift and remove it from the pan.  Make 3 cuts from  the short side for 4 long bars and make 5 cuts in each to make 6 squares each.  Cut each square diagonally to make 48 triangles.

Notes:

Orgasmic.  Or at least should get you laid.

Serving Suggestions:

If not decadent enough for you, use to dip in a bowl of whipped cream or softened vanilla ice cream.
