A fruity alcoholic beverage that will catch up to you.
1/2 cup | Grenadine |
3/4 cup | Grapefruit Juice, unsweetened |
1 cup | Apricot Brandy |
1&1/2 cups | Pineapple Juice |
1&1/2 cups | Vodka |
3 cups | Orange Juice |
2 quarts | 7-Up® |
Combine the Grenadine, Grapefruit Juice, Apricot Brandy, Pineapple Juice, Vodka and Orange Juice in a half gallon or larger pitcher. Pour into smaller sealable containers and freeze hard at least 24 hours before serving. If you are going to mix the drink in your blender, freeze in quantities that are less than half the blender's capacity. I use 8 oz. butter tubs.
Just before serving, blend equals parts of the frozen mixture with ice cold 7-Up®. I sometimes stick the 7-Up in the freezer for a little while just before blending. Serve immediately.
Around my house this is called The House Drink.
